Flick Golf Extreme review (iPod/iPhone and HD version on iPad)

August 2, 2011

“Freedom – You’ve got to give for what you take”

10 word description: Flick Golf with extreme courses. 3 modes; Retina; 3D environments.

10 word review: Great standalone sequel, shame it wasn’t an update. Still fun!

You will like this if you enjoy: Flick Golf (of course), target-shooting games.

The good news: This is still great fun and the new environments truly are extreme – USS Freedom (I hope that explains the lyric choice at the top of the review) is probably the wildest, with helicopters, waves and stuff.

The bad news: Personally, it would have been nice to have this as an add-on to the original game as an IAP – just to reduce the number of individual games I’ve got installed!

Arcadelife verdict: Once again, Full Fat have put together a great gaming package. The basic Flick Golf gameplay hasn’t been altered, which is a good thing, and the environments are very well designed and graphically as impressive as ever. Overall this is a great standalone game. Fans of the original will probably buy it on sight and they won’t be disappointed. As I mentioned, I would have probably preferred it as an update to the original game, but that isn’t really an issue.

Arcadelife rating: 88/100
