Oranges & Lemurs review (iOS / Universal)

December 17, 2011

“And it’s turned out oranges and lemons again
All three bells in a row”

10 word description: Feeding lemurs is easy – can you do it with skill?

10 word review: Bright colourful physics puzzles with a twist – you catapult things!

You will like this if you enjoy: “Place item A to guide object B to recipient C” type physics puzzles.

The good news: Looks good, plays well, has loads of levels and it’s different enough (due to the very dynamic interactivity) to warrant a look even for those of us who have played way too many physics puzzlers already.

The bad news: The static screenshots don’t really do the gameplay justice. Tip – watch the video at the end of the review.

Arcadelife verdict: A fresh take on the genre, where you are able to manipulate the placed objects after initial positioning, using see-saws as makeshift catapults to toss rolling pick-up items to the waiting lemurs. Bonus points are awarded for the use of lemurs instead of zombies, ninjas or any type of bird.

Arcadelife rating: 82/100
